Tiny Shelter is a dog shelter in the Algarve, Portugal. They rescue dogs from difficult situations, provide medical care, and do everything they can to find each animal a new home.

The question:
Tiny Shelter’s previous online presence consisted of several separate WordPress websites, each in its own language and with its own domain name. This made the whole setup confusing and difficult to manage. There was a need for a single, central website that would effectively represent the organization, encourage donations, and make it easy for visitors to find a dog that suits them.
The approach:
A new website was built on a pro bono basis using Squarespace 7.1. The main call to action is to donate, but the dogs themselves are also front and center: each dog has its own page, and visitors can use a filter option to search by gender, breed, age, and other criteria. The colorful design reflects the cheerful atmosphere of the shelter itself, where color plays a major role. The logo has also been given a modern update.
