I, Sandra Keus, have drafted this privacy statement in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Below, I explain how I handle your personal data when, for example, you visit my website or are a client of mine. Of course, I handle your data with the utmost care and respect your privacy. What information do I collect, what do I do with it, and why?
1. Newsletter
On my website, you can sign up for my monthly newsletter by entering your email address. At the bottom of every email, there is a link to unsubscribe.
2. Contact Form
If you contact me through the contact form on my website, your first name, last name, and email address will be sent to me via email.
3. Schedule an appointment via the website
You can schedule appointments through my website. I will receive your first name, last name, and email address. For online consultations, I will also receive your company name, address, and phone number.
4. Google Analytics + Squarespace Analytics
My website was built using Squarespace. When you visit my site, data is collected by both Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics. This data helps me improve my site and make it more user-friendly. You can hide this data by using a VPN.
5. Invoices
If you are one of my clients, I will store your name, address, and email address, as well as your Chamber of Commerce number, for my accounting records so I can send you an invoice. If you live outside the Netherlands but within the EU, I will also need your VAT number.
6. Other
Any information you have emailed me directly so that I can perform the requested work for you. This includes, for example, photos, text, and login credentials for your social media channels or website.
How long do I retain your data?
1. Newsletter
I will retain your information for as long as you remain subscribed.
2. Contact form
I archive the emails I receive in Gmail. I completely clear out my email once every 5 years. This will delete any emails I have archived.
3. Appointment via the website
. The request for an online appointment is sent to my email. See point 2 for more information.
4. Google + Squarespace Analytics
The data collected via Google Analytics is deleted after 26 months.
With Squarespace, I am bound by their retention period.
5. Invoicing
I retain invoicing data for 7 years. This is required by law.
6. Other
I delete all login credentials 3 months after our collaboration ends or the project is completed. After 2 years, I delete all other project data.
Third-Party Access
I do not share or sell your data to third parties. However, I may need to share your data with third parties in order to comply with legal obligations.
I also use software in which I store data necessary for performing work for you. I enter into data processing agreements with these parties.
Cookies
This website uses functional cookies. These cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. You cannot use the site without these cookies, as they are necessary for the website to function. It is legally permitted to place these cookies.
This website also uses analytical cookies to track users of the site using Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics. These cookies collect data about browsing behavior. This allows me to see how visitors use the website and to improve it based on that information.
What are your rights?
You can always request access to the personal data I have about you. To do so, please send me an email at sandra@squareitup.co. This also applies if you wish to update or have your data deleted. In the latter case, I will verify that this does not conflict with any legal retention requirements I am subject to. I will respond to your email within one week.
I would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can do so via this link.
Data Security
I do my very best to keep your data secure. I work from various locations and use a VPN (virtual private network) when I’m away from home, and I store my login credentials in 1Password. I use two-factor authentication for many online services.

How long do I retain your data?

I retain your data for as long as you remain registered.
2. Contact form
Emails I receive are archived in Gmail. I perform a complete email cleanup every 5 years, which includes deleting archived emails.
3. Website appointments
Appointment requests are received via email, subject to the process described in point 2.
4. Google + Squarespace Analytics
Data recorded by Google Analytics is deleted after 26 months. Squarespace’s data retention policy follows their guidelines.
5. Invoicing
Invoicing data is retained for 7 years, as required by law.
6. Other
Login details are deleted 3 months after our collaboration ends or the project is completed. Other project data is deleted after 2 years.

I do not share or sell your information to third parties. However, I may need to share your data with third parties to comply with legal obligations.
