The question
Miranda had had a Squarespace website for eleven years, but it was still running on version 7.0. The upgrade to 7.1 had been needed for some time, including from an SEO perspective.
The structure and colors of the existing site were largely fine, but the design needed a more modern look while staying within the familiar framework. In addition, some content changes were made, and a new page was added.
The Approach
With a clear vision, this project got off to a flying start. Miranda knew exactly what she wanted: a clean design with plenty of white space, a single wide column in the center for optimal readability, and no complex animations.
Blogging is an important part of her website, so extra attention was paid to that aspect. Privacy and accessibility were factored into the design. The result is a calm, easy-to-read website that lets the story speak for itself without any technical frills.
